J - Some years ago, probably a bit after I decided I wanted to study mechatronics I watched a video of some car shop place that was completely automatic, like a vending machine. I’ve also heard mechatronics are more developed there, so it’ll be a good chance to learn more. Also, I’ve always wanted to learn German, even if it’s for fun.

R - I’ve been studying German language and culture as my minor and I’d really like to live there, at least for a while.  I am very fond of the German/European culture and my field of study (chemistry) also has many job opportunities in Germany.  I think it would be enriching for both of us and I would like to live outside of the US for a while.  I’m wondering why you say “unfortunately.”
